These are silicone bands for the main Dyno 2.0 rollers.  They are 4 times thicker than the bicycle tubing.  They are 0.98" wide and a 2.0" diameter.   They are easier to install than the bicycle tubing. They will mechanically hold since they are 2.0" and will stretch over the roller's 2.4" diameter. When installed, each band covers 0.84" of the roller.  Superglue or shoe goo/E6000 can be used for additional holding power.

  1. Remove the top plate (ABS or aluminum depending on the size of your dyno) near the roller.
  2. Remove the 5 hex screws holding the right side dyno plate  (the side without the motor)
  3. Remove the spur gear off of the roller. Leave the Idler spur gear on
  4. On a flat surface, while supporting the weight of the roller with one hand, gently guide the roller and right side plate together out of the left bearing.
  5. Remove the right side plate off of the roller.
  6. Slowly, gently slide the roller out of the left side bearing. It will come out without force, it's about finding the exact alignment.  (note the shims for later installation)
  7. If needed, remove the old tubing and glue from the roller. Clean the roller with rubbing alcohol.
  8. Install the silicone bands.
  9. For additional holding power, use E6000 or CA adhesive.
  10. Put the roller shims back on.
  11. Slide the right side plate onto the roller.
  12. To help with the final alignment, place the right side plate flat onto the same surface as the dyno. Slide the roller and right side plate together so that the roller slides into the left bearing.
  13. Install the 5 hex screws holding the right side dyno plate.
  14. Reinstall the top plate (ABS or aluminum depending on the size of your dyno) near the roller.
